Primary causes of megacyclicity in the Earth’s history is considered. Megacyclicity model is offered. Acсording to this model the causes of cyclicity is the inner energy of the Earth and processes of redistribution of energy and substance between  core and mantle in the mantle and between mantle and lithosphere. This redistribution occurred in the Earth as two closelly interrelat- ed processes – convection and plumes. Mantle convection results into horizontal movements of lithospheric plates with such consequences as: origin and existence of spreading zones, transform faults breaks and subduction zones, with associated set of geological rock associations. As a  trigger  for reorganisation of convection конвекции (convection cells), are superplumes –flows of overheated substance which are coming from   surface of the Earth’s core and which manifestations cause formation and supercontinental breakup. The concept of geological cycle (megacycle) which starts from rift transformation into spreading zone and formations of ophiolite rock associations is offered. Especially at this stage of supercontinent breakup first sedimentary and volcanogenic-sedimentary rocks which can be distinguished and mapped are formed. The final stage of geological cycle is formation of large dike swarms. The review of space factors and their possible role to in megacyclicity is made.

Key words: cyclicity , convection, geological cycle, plume, mantle, core
