The paper demonstrates results on investigations of placement regularities and localizing conditions of Mo mineralization in the sedimentary-volcanic strata of the Kryvy Rig structure. Ore showings of Mo mineralization are spatially and genetically connected with the granitoids of different age and are located in the contact between the granitoids and sedimentary-volcanogenic rocks of the Kryvy Rig series, which includes the zones of greisenization, quartz and quartz-sulfide metasomatism. The ores consist of different intensity molibdenite, quartz-molibdenite and quartz-sulfide assemblages occurring as veinletdisseminated in zones of quartzification and greisenization. In the zones including metasomatic alterations, processes of the metasomatism were developed in the narrow zones, from several meters to several tens of meters. In the zones of metasomatism, molibdenite is closely associated with pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, scheelite, arsenopyrite, cassiterite and magnetite. The major ore minerals of the zones of metasomatism are shortly described.
