The vein-like bodies of leucocratic aplite granites were found in mafic and intermediate dykes that cut enclosinggranitoids of the Pokrovo-Kiriyivo massif. Usually they are thin, from first millimeters to 1.0-1.5 cm, and oriented mainly sub-parallel to the contacts of dykes. Sometimes these veins are interconnected by thin transverse veins, forming a network. These veins are composed by aplite granites made of alkaline feldspar, plagioclase and quartz with a small amount of biotite and ore minerals and have eutectic composition. These veins differ from the altered two-feldspar enclosing granitoids (granosyenites, granodiorites, granites) in terms of their chemical and mineral composition The formation of these eutectoid vein granites resulted from partial melting of the enclosing granitoids during the emplacement of high-temperature magmas of mafic and intermediate composition, cooling of the dyke rocks and filling of the contraction cracks with eutectoid granite melt which still existed for some time after the crystallization of mafic and intermediate dykes. This process is explained by the Sederholm\u2019s effect.<\/p>\n
